(November 30, 2022) If you’re in the market for a large SUV, sooner or later — probably sooner — you’re going to find yourself in a Chevrolet showroom looking at a new Tahoe and/or Suburban. Likely it will be the Tahoe, which through the third quarter of this year had more than doubled its older stablemate in sales.

(November 27, 2022) The 2023 CX-50 is an all-new model for the Mazda brand in the hotly contested and crowded compact crossover utility vehicle segment. Competitors include such rivals as the Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Rogue and others. The CX-50 is based on same platform as the smaller subcompact CX-30 and Mazda3. It’s also longer and wider than the CX-5 with more ground clearance yet a lower roof height and profile.

(November 20, 2022) The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid minivan is impressive on first drive, and we can vouch for its ability to flawlessly undertake a 3,400-mile, 16-day cross-country trip. We reached that conclusion after a successful four-person road trip to eight National Parks and a myriad of other sites in the western United States a few years ago.

(November 13, 2022) In an automotive related discussion with a friend the subject of her 2018 Lexus NX 300 came up. We asked if she is shopping a new Lexus and has she considered the restyled 2022 NX? "I don't see any need for a change now, my Lexus has all the stuff I want," she said. "But, we replied, the new NX has updated styling and a load of new tech compared to your nearly five-year-old car."

Genesis G90 — A stunning luxury sedan

By Jim Meachen and Ted Biederman

(October 30, 2022) The redesigned 2023 Genesis G90 is ready to compete head-on without apology against the big guys in the full-sized luxury sedan class including the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, and Lexus LS 500. The G90, in its infancy in car terms having entered the market just eight years ago, has received a dramatic redesign that elevates it into the upper echelons of the luxury sedan world.

Audi A3 — Audi’s entry-level sedan gets complete makeover

By Jim Prueter

(October 25, 2022) After skipping the 2021 model year, Audi introduced its fourth generation A3 in America for 2022. The A3 is the entry-level vehicle for the brand and while somewhat popular in Europe only sells about 10,000 a year here in America. Part of that reason is sedans are deeply out of fashion for the U.S. car buyer favoring trucks and utility vehicles.

(October 24, 2022) Just in its second model year, the 2023 Infiniti QX55 comes with more features as standard, which makes it an underrated, but attractive alternative for shoppers in the compact luxury SUV segment. It retains a more rakish profile than its stablemate QX50 with the sleeker styling giving it a coupe-like image.

(October 23, 2022) Honda's completely redesigned HR-V small crossover is a handsome vehicle that will look good in anyone's driveway. And it's a pleasant car to drive, whether just down the road to the store or 100 miles across country for a fall beach outing. Opt for the top trim level and it can be outfitted with most of the modern safety features available on the market today as well as a decent amount of high tech.

Cadillac Lyriq — First Cadillac EV is superb to behold and drive

By Jim Prueter

(October 18, 2022) To suggest that Cadillac’s first attempt at an all-electric SUV named Lyriq is akin to opera-comique first developed out of the comedies de vaudeville, is to libel the French form of opera. Both boast a higher sophistication to their disciplines however, absent inconsistently spelled namesakes it would require eccentric judgment to consider them comparatively analogous.

Genesis GV70 — A winner in the luxury compact crossover ranks

By Jim Meachen and Ted Biederman

(October 16, 2022) The relatively young Genesis luxury brand is comprised of exceptionally good vehicles with rewarding powertrains, excellent overall performance, stylish interiors with top-notch fit and finish, and loads of cutting edge technology. We feel justified with this lavish description because over the past 18 months we have driven such examples as the G70 compact sedan, the GV80 mid-sized crossover, the G80 sedan, and the new and stunning GV60 electric hatchback.
