Survey finds Cadillac most desired auto brand in U.S.

(February 18, 2012) DETROIT — Cadillac is the most-desired automotive brand in the United States by men, according to results of a market research test by a company that studies emotional connections.

The 2012 “Most Desired Brands in the U.S.” survey was conducted by the global strategic neuro-insight firm Buyology Inc and uSamp, which measured personal and emotional connections to 220 well-known brands across 10 industries.

In its fifth year, the YouTube Ad Blitz program is one of the largest consumer polls of Super Bowl ads. BMW to unveil new 6 Series Gran Coupe in Geneva

Despite the name, the Gran Coupe has four doors and is technically a sedan. But the Gran Coupe's sultry looks and low, sloping roofline instantly distinguish it from a traditional sedan design.

Ferrari reports record-breaking year in 2011

(February 17, 2012) MARANELLO, Italy — Ferrari has reported "extremely positive results" for 2011 with revenues at an all time high and record sales worldwide.

Revenues exceeded the 2 billion euro threshold for the first time, reaching 2.251 billion euro, a 17.3 percent increase over 2010. A record 7,195 cars were delivered to the dealership network, an increase of 9.5 per cent on the previous year’s figure.

Porsche to name its new small SUV the Macan

(February 16, 2012) Porsche today confirmed the name for its forthcoming new sports car in the SUV segment is Macan. Porsche says the name Macan is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger and combines suppleness, power, fascination and dynamics — core characteristics of this new all-terrain car.

“The Macan combines all sports car characteristics with the benefits of an SUV and is a genuine Porsche”, said Bernhard Maier, executive vice president sales and marketing.

Audi's performance wagon revealed before Geneva show

(February 15, 2012) The latest hot-rod wagon from Audi, the 2013 RS 4 Avant, were revealed today nearly a month before the car’s scheduled debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

The “RS” prefix signifies a performance version of a regular Audi model, Audi’s version of BMW’s M Division and Mercedes-Benz’s AMG in-house tuner. To show that the RS4 is more than an ordinary station wagon, Audi gave it some more aggressive exterior styling, including a new front fascia with larger, lower air intakes, flared wheel arches, and a rear diffuser with cannon-sized tailpipes.

Infiniti sponsors film festival celebrating East Asian cinema

(February 15, 2012) ROLLE, Switzerland — Infiniti, a luxury performance automotive brand from Japan, is sponsoring an international film festival celebrating East Asian cinema to be held at Coventry University, UK, from March 2 to 4.

This is the second year that the festival has run but the first time it has attracted a major sponsor. It is also the first time Infiniti has connected with the arts so publicly in the UK.
