Lotus partners with Bosch and Mobilize on European charging stations



(January 18, 2024) LONDON — Lotus has announced two new pan-European charging partnerships to support the rapidly growing number of customers taking delivery of its electric vehicles. The company’s Eletre owners will be able tap into Bosch’s and Mobilize Power Solutions’ charging capabilities, enabling them to charge their hyper-SUV at home or on the move, providing them with further access to easy-to-use, reliable charging.

The 33rd annual auction will once again claim title as the world’s largest vintage and antique motorcycle auction when it returns to South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas this Jan. 24-27, and portions of the four live auction days will be broadcast on  MotorTrend+.

(January 15, 2024) SEOUL —  Hyundai has unveiled the ‘IONIQ 5 N NPX1,’ a concept model equipped with prototype N Performance Parts, at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. Hyundai plans to enhance the high-performance electric vehicle (EV) ownership experience with N Performance Parts, which originally began in 2019 and continues to develop high quality tuning parts for customers.

Detroit auto show will return to original January slot in 2025



(January 12, 2024) For decades the North American International Detroit Auto Show was held in January. Now the Detroit Auto Dealers Association, which produces the show, said in a statement that the show will run Jan. 10-20 after two years of summer shows in September. The annual Charity Preview will be Jan. 10, and public days for the show will be Jan. 11-20. The show was held in September the past two years after a COVID-19 pandemic-induced pause.

Parts of your future Ford could be made from olives



(January 12, 2024) Every year, pruning olive trees creates 7 million tons of waste. Ford engineers in Cologne launched an innovative research project to explore how that food waste could be re-purposed to create auto part prototypes. They found the parts to be durable, and believe research like this could enable lighter weight parts that reduce the amount of plastic used in vehicle parts, reduce the carbon footprint of auto parts and bring the company closer to its goal of using more recycled and renewable content in its vehicles.
