Bentley has 25 percent increase in global sales

Passenger car sales do well in September at GM

(October 9, 2012) DETROIT — While overall sales were up only 2 percent at General Motors Co. in September, the automaker reported its highest September passenger car sales since 2008: 210,245 vehicles.

New products helped drive a 29 percent increase in passenger car sales. Sales of GM’s mini, small and compact cars alone were up a combined 97 percent, and all GM brands increased their retail sales.

Kia announces global sales growth

(October 9, 2012) Kia Motors announced today its global sales figures — export sales, domestic sales and sales from overseas plants — for passenger cars, recreational vehicles (RVs) and commercial vehicles for September was 246,733 units sold.

This figure represents a year-on-year increase of 13.3%.

GM sales in China set new September record

(October 9, 2012) SHANGHAI — General Motors and its joint ventures sold a September record 244,266 vehicles in China, up 1.7 percent from September 2011 and 10.5 percent from August. During the first nine months of 2012, sales by GM and its joint ventures in China increased 10 percent on an annual basis to a record 2,081,812 units.

Ram dealers to supply 19 states with 2500 CNG-powered trucks

(October 8, 2012) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler has announced that 13 Ram Truck dealers landed contracts with 19 states to supply their fleets with the new Ram 2500 Heavy Duty CNG pickup truck.

The successful Ram Truck dealers were disclosed by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin and Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper who are leading a bipartisan group of 22 states seeking to use compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles in their state automobile fleets.

GM salutes Tigers, Cabrera's triple crown

General Motors this past weekend added three panels to its rotating LED sign atop its Renaissance Center headquarters to salute Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera’s winning the American League Triple Crown. Cabrera led the league in the batting average, runs batted in and home runs, the first player from either league to do so in 45 years.
