GM unlocks RemoteLink for Microsoft Windows phones

Now RemoteLink can claim the distinction of being the first remote telemetry app from an automaker to work on all four primary smartphone platforms — iPhone, Android, Blackberry and now Microsoft Windows phones.

Volkswagen produces 10 millionth car in Mexico

(August 22, 2013) Last week Volkswagen celebrated the production of 10 million cars at its Volkswagen de México manufacturing facility in Puebla, Mexico. The 10- millionth car was a Volkswagen Beetle GSR, a limited edition, 1970s-inspired Beetle that goes on sale in the United States this month.

Event to celebrate launch of all-new GM trucks on Sept. 14

New Volkswagen Golf R gets 296 horsepower, sub-five-second 0-60

Volkswagen is continuing its Golf product offensive with the flagship of the model series — the new Golf R.

The sports car of the lineup is powered by a newly designed 296-horsepower TSI engine, which is 30 horsepower stronger, but up to 18 per cent more fuel efficient than the engine in the previous model.

Wave goodbye to the Volkswagen camper van

(August 20, 2013) Volkswagen Brazil has announced a Final Edition version of the classic Type 2 Kombi van that has been in continuous production there for 56 years — since 1957. According to Volkswagen, that achievement makes the VW Transporter, which is often referred to as the camper van, the longest produced model in automotive history.
