(August 9, 2012) DETROIT — The 2013 Buick Verano Turbo sedan will be priced at $29,990, including a destination charge of $885. The turbocharged Verano uses an Ecotec 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with direct injection and continuously variable valve timing to produce 250 horsepower.

Nissan gains market share in Europe

(August 8, 2012) ROLLE, Switzerland — Nissan has announced European sales of 53,323 units for July 2012, posting an increase in market share for the second successive month. With monthly overall customer demand down 3.8% compared to July 2011, Nissan maintained its market share above 3.9% supported by strong sales in Eastern markets where sales jumped 15.3% to 14,540 units.

Dutch town named most 'switched on' in Europe

(August 8, 2012) ROLLE, Switzerland — The Dutch town of Linschoten has been named the most "switched on" in Europe, after receiving the greatest number of pledges of support for electric driving of any town or city in Europe during Nissan's campaign, The Big Turn On.

To mark the victory, Nissan is donating a number of its Quick Chargers, which allow owners of vehicles compliant with the international CHAdeMO charging standard to recharge the battery to 80 percent capacity in just 30 minutes.

Dodge to withdraw from NASCAR at conclusion of 2012 season

(August 7, 2012) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — SRT Motorsports announced today that Dodge will withdraw from NASCAR competition at the conclusion of the 2012 season.
