BMW Manufacturing largest U.S. automotive exporter by value

(March 8, 2019) SPARTANBURG, S.C. — For the fifth consecutive year, BMW Manufacturing led the nation in automotive exports by value, according to data released this week by the U.S. Department of Commerce. BMW exported 234,689 X models from its Spartanburg plant during 2018. About 81 percent of these Sports Activity Vehicles and Coupes were exported through the Port of Charleston with an export value of more than $8.4 billion, according to Commerce Department data.

This confirms that the South Carolina factory is the leading U.S. automotive exporter by value.

Volkswagen celebrates 70 years of the iconic Beetle at Amelia Island

Hyundai to display 2019 Nexo fuel cell SUV at Smart Mobility Summit

Aston Martin's first SUV undergoes extreme winter testing in Sweden

Dodge brand launching national 'Muscleville' campaign

Mazda unveils CX-30 compact crossover SUV; coming to U.S. in 2020

(March 6, 2019) HIROSHIMA, Japan — Mazda on Tuesday made the world premiere of the second model in its new-generation lineup, the Mazda CX-30 compact crossover SUV at the Geneva Motor Show. As a new core model, the CX-30 will be rolled out to global markets, with sales starting from Europe this summer. The CX-30 will go on sale in the U.S. sometime in 2020.
