Mercedes-Benz introduces AMG A 35 sedan — 4.7 seconds 0-60

(March 28, 2019) Mercedes-Benz says the next level of driving performance is here in the new A 35 AMG Sedan combining a comfortable amount of space and versatility for passengers and luggage together with exceptional driving dynamics ensured by the 2.0L four-cylinder turbo engine with 302 horsepower. The package includes the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-Speed Transmission, AMG suspension and the variable AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive.

Genesis announces all-inclusive leasing program

(March 27, 2019) FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — Genesis is maintaining its position as an innovator in total vehicle satisfaction, with the introduction of the Genesis Spectrum all-inclusive leasing program. Genesis Spectrum, available through its affiliate, Genesis Finance, will be available in select markets on new, 2019 G70, G80 and G90 sedans, and includes auto insurance as part of the monthly payment.

New BMW 1 Series goes into final test phase in Miramas

(March 27, 2019) MUNICH, Germany — Camouflaged pre-series vehicles of the third-generation BMW 1 Series are currently still undergoing extensive test drives at the BMW proving ground in Miramas, Southern France. The facility’s diverse handling tracks offer the optimal conditions for refining agility and dynamics of the new BMW 1 Series. This was preceded by five years of intensive development work and the change to the modern BMW front-wheel drive architecture. 

Nearly a half million bricks later, the first full-scale LEGO McLaren Senna

(March 27, 2019) A unique, full-scale LEGO McLaren Senna has been created in secret by shifts of specialist assemblers working around the clock. Taking nearly 5,000 hours to assemble, it comprises almost half a million separate components. Unusual for a McLaren, the LEGO Senna is something of a heavyweight, tipping the scales at 3,348 pounds — 1,102 pounds more than the McLaren Senna that sold out as soon as it was announced in 2017. 

In its first month on European market, Tesla Model 3 is top EV seller

(March 26, 2019) The European car market registered its sixth consecutive month of decline in February, as 1.14 million vehicles were registered. There were some winners, however. The most notable result  was the strong performance of pure electric vehicles (BEVs). Although their market share remained marginal at 1.9%, their volume increased by a huge 92% to 20,000 registrations.

Ford introduces black appearance package for all-new Ranger

(March 26, 2019) DEARBORN, Mich. — With the all-new Ford Ranger off to a strong start since the first trucks went on sale in January, Ford is already introducing a new black appearance package, helping buyers further customize their Ranger to match their unique personal style.

More than two-thirds of all-new Ranger pickups are leaving showrooms optioned with either the Sport Appearance Package that adds unique wheels and Magnetic Gray-painted accents, or the Chrome Appearance Package with bright chrome wheels and chrome body accents.

Electromobility under extreme conditions — BMW iX3, i4, iNEXT

(March 26, 2019) MUNICH, Germany — BMW i is preparing to launch the next generation of solely electrically powered models. Three of the brand’s electric models are currently going through a key phase of their series development process at the BMW Group’s winter test center in Arjeplog, Sweden. Together with the BMW iX3 already due to go on sale next year, the BMW i4 and the BMW iNEXT, being brought to market in 2021, are also completing an intensive test program.

A famous abandoned Studebaker



One of the most famous abandoned cars in the U.S. sits along Old Route 66 in the Painted Desert area of Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. The rusted hulk of a 1932 Studebaker depicts the remains of transportation along the old east-west highway in the 30s and 40s. The Studebaker, reportedly donated by Frank and Rhonda Dobell of Holbrook, Ariz., is probably the most photographed abandoned car in the country.

Volvo Care Key allows drivers to set their speed limitations

(March 25, 2019) Volvo Cars has revealed the Care Key, allowing any Volvo buyer to set a speed limit for themselves, their family members or friends. The Care Key will come as standard on all Volvo cars from model year 2021.

The Care Key allows Volvo drivers to set limitations on the car’s top speed, before lending their car to other family members or to younger and inexperienced drivers such as teenagers that only just received their drivers’ license.
