Stellantis returns nearly 165 laid off Belvidere employees to work



(December 26, 2023) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Just in time for the holidays, nearly 165 Stellantis employees who were laid off when the Belvidere Assembly Plant idled returned to full-time positions this week. The employees will support operations for Mopar, the Company’s parts and service division, at a warehouse in Belvidere, Ill., a community about 70 miles west of Chicago.

(December 25, 2023) SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. —  Barrett-Jackson will offer the Frank Tiegs Collection, which includes some of the most significant 1960s and 1970s American muscle cars, at the 2024 Scottsdale Auction Jan. 20-28 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Twenty-eight vehicles from the collection will cross the auction block with No Reserve during the nine-day event, including rare and desirable examples across the Ford, Mercury, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Dodge and Plymouth marques.

Honda recalls 2.5 million vehicles over fuel pump issue



(December 24, 2023) WASHINGTON — Honda is recalling more than 2.5 million Honda and Acura vehicles in the U.S. for a fuel pump defect that could cause the engine to stall while driving, according to Automotive News. In a statement Thursday, Honda said it has not received any reports of crashes or injuries related to the issue. The automaker also said it has fielded more than 4,000 warranty claims stemming from the defect as of Dec. 12.

Ford generated most U.S. recalls for third straight year



But Ford's 2023 total is down
21 percent from the 2022 recalls


(December 22, 2023) WASHINGTON — For the third year in a row Ford had the most recalls of any U.S. automaker, partial NHTSA data shows. Automotive News reported that through Dec. 18, Ford issued 54 recalls affecting nearly 5.7 million vehicles in the U.S. this year. However, that's down about 21 percent from the number of recalls it issued in 2022, when the automaker reported 68 recalls affecting more than 8.7 million vehicles.

(December 21, 2023) Subaru of America has announced pricing on the 2024 Subaru WRX, including the recently unveiled WRX TR with performance-focused upgrades. The fifth generation WRX is enhanced with standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology on all models, including those equipped with a manual transmission. All WRX models have a 271-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER engine, and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
