Allstate unveils custom motorcycle collaboration at Daytona Bike Week

The custom Allstate Victory Gunner Bike is this year's grand prize for the sixth annual Allstate Motorcycle Sweepstakes.

Mecum declares Denver auction success with $12 million in sales

(July 3, 2015) DENVER — Mecum Auctions’ first-ever Denver-area auction brought enthusiasts flocking to the Colorado Convention Center leading to standing-room-only crowds both days, June 26-27. With 396 cars sold, a 66-percent sell-through rate was achieved and overall sales totals reached $12,003,418.

“We were excited to bring the Mecum Auction action to the Denver area, and the reception from nearly 14,000 enthusiasts in the Rocky Mountain Region and beyond was overwhelmingly positive,” says Dana Mecum, president and founder of Mecum Auctions.

Toyota Indiana celebrates 4 millionth vehicle produced

(March 7, 2015) PRINCETON, Ind. — Toyota Indiana and its 4,700 team members hit a new high on Friday, March 6.  A Blizzard Pearl Highlander Hybrid drove off the final assembly line and team members realized their accomplishment — 4 million vehicles produced.
 
According to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 3,981,626 passenger vehicles are registered in the state.  This means Toyota Indiana has produced more vehicles than are registered in its home state.  But all of these Toyotas don’t stay in Indiana; they just start here.
 

Mazda begins production of all new MX-5

(March 7, 2015) HIROSHIMA, Japan — Mazda Motor Corp. has begun production of the all-new Mazda MX-5 two-seater lightweight sports car (known as Mazda Roadster in Japan) at Ujina Plant No.1 in Hiroshima. The first models produced are destined for the Japanese market.

General Motors sets February sales record in China

(March 6, 2015) SHANGHAI — General Motors and its joint ventures sold 261,072 vehicles in China during February, setting a new record for the month. Sales increased 1.3 percent from the same month last year.

In February, Shanghai GM’s domestic sales were up 2.4 percent year on year to 112,568 units and SAIC-GM-Wuling’s domestic sales were up 3.9 percent to 148,227 units.

Chrysler announces 63 consecutive months of sales growth in Canada

(March 6, 2015) WINDSOR, Ontario — FCA Canada Inc. (formerly Chrysler Canada Inc.) has announced its 63rd consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, representing the longest sales streak in the company’s history. February sales were 18,711 compared with 18,522 in February 2014, which represents a 1 per cent increase.

Lexus debuts a city car concept in Geneva, the LF-SA
