Third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS debuts in Los Angeles

(December 1, 2017) LOS ANGELES — The 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. Beauty and style were commonly used adjectives during the presentation, but the new four-door coupe is much more than that. Mercedes packed the CLS with a new straight-six engine, new technology and more luxury.

Kia Sorento refreshed and ready for 2019 model year

(December 1, 2017) LOS ANGELES — Kia has unveiled the refreshed 2019 Sorento SUV at the Los Angeles International Auto Show.  Refined, rugged and roomy, the Sorento remains as capable as ever, but touts a number of visual and feature enhancements, inside and out. 

Aside from new front and rear fascias, which help achieve a more sophisticated appearance, the cabin is now decidedly more upscale and integrates newly-added technology, including Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keep Assist and QuantumLogic Surround Sound.

Camry, Accord square off for North American Car of the Year

(November 30, 2017) Finalists for the 2018 North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year were announced Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Honda and Toyota will square off for Car of the Year with their new mid-sized sedans.

Battling for Car of the Year are the all-new Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Seeking to knock these perennial best-sellers off their perch will be the upstart Kia Stinger, the Korean brand’s new performance halo sedan. For the first time in the award’s history, no Detroit cars made the final list.

Barrett-Jackson creates ultimate Mopar Mecca at Scottsdale auction

First Corvette ZR1 will be auctioned to benefit wounded veterans

(November 30, 2017) DETROIT — GM and Chevrolet will offer the fastest, most powerful production Corvette ever built for auction to benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the work it does to support wounded veterans through the Building for America’s Bravest program.

On Jan. 20, the first retail production 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will hit the auction block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Chevrolet unveils first modern-era ZR1 Corvette convertible

(November 29, 2017) LOS ANGELES — Chevrolet has dropped the top on the 2019 Corvette ZR1 with the global introduction of the ZR1 convertible, the first ZR1 drop-top since the original 1970 model-year ZR1. On sale next spring alongside the Corvette ZR1 coupe, the ZR1 convertible emphasizes Corvette’s iconic proportions and functional sculpture, highlighting the seamless transition between the exterior and interior.

The ZR1 coupe will carry a suggested retail price of $119,995, while the ZR1 convertible will start at $123,995 including destination charge.
