(March 14, 2013) ATLANTA — Porsche handed over 10,454 new vehicles to customers the world over in February 2013, an increase of 18.2 per cent in comparison to the same month last year. In the first two months of the 2013, Porsche sold 22,515 cars — a growth of more than one-fifth in comparison to the same period of the prior year.

(March 13, 2013) MCLEAN, Va. — Wholesale prices for used cars and light trucks up to 8-years-old rose a modest 0.8% in February, well below the 3% increase for the month over the past two years, says the NADA Used Car Guide in its March edition of Guidelines .

"Price growth for used vehicles through early spring will be weaker than what is typically seen for the period," said Jonathan Banks, executive automotive analyst with the NADA Used Car Guide.

(March 13, 2013) YOKOHAMA, Japan — Nissan today announced its plan to expand the use of advanced high tensile strength steel (AHSS) in to up to 25 percent of the vehicle parts — measured by weight — installed in its new production models. Nissan will make use of advanced high tensile strength steel starting in 2017 as one of its initiatives to help reduce vehicle weight.
