Fifth-generation Porsche 911 GT3 introduced in N.Y.

(March 31, 2013) ATLANTA — The completely redeveloped 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 made its North American premiere last week in New York Auto Show. The fifth generation GT3 is the sportiest model of the iconic 911 family with a new engine, transmission, body and chassis. The car now sprints from zero to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds on its way to a top track speed of 195 mph.

GM earns environmental award for landfill-free program

(March 31, 2013) DETROIT — General Motors has been recognized for its environmental leadership by the Society of Plastic Engineers with an award acknowledging the company’s successful zero-waste program.

The Daniel Eberhardt Award for Environmental Stewardship is given to companies that make extensive use of recycled plastics in producing automotive interior components, and achieve large reductions in waste going to landfills. The award was presented at the 2013 Global Plastics Environmental Conference.

Shelby American adds 'Shelby Magic' — 164 horsepower — to Raptor

Subaru introduces its first production hybrid

The 2014 XV Crosstrek Hybrid model arrives in Subaru dealerships this fall. When the XV Crosstrek Hybrid goes on sale it will be the most fuel-efficient and lowest-emissions AWD hybrid crossover in America.

Infiniti prices new Q50 sedan $900 under outgoing G37

(March 29, 2013) NEW YORK — Infiniti has announced an introductory pre-order Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $36,450 for the all-new 2014 Infiniti Q50 sport sedan — formerly the G37 — which goes on sale in summer 2013 at Infiniti retailers in the United States.

The special introductory pricing is $900 lower than the 2013 G37 sedan starting M.S.R.P. The “popularly equipped” Q50 Premium model with an optional, advanced navigation system is introductory priced at $40,700.
