Quail Motorcycle Gathering to celebrate notable machines

(January 20, 2020) CARMEL, Calif. — The Quail Motorcycle Gathering will return to Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, California on Saturday, May 16. The 12th annual event will present four featured classes along with gourmet food, product demonstrations from leading manufacturers and hands-on activities for all ages to enjoy. Three of the featured classes will be celebrating 50 years of the Harley-Davidson XR750, MV Agusta 750 and BMW /5; additionally, one brand-new non-motorcycle class has been added featuring hot rods and classic cars.

Ducati's 2019 worldwide sales top 53,000 bikes

(January 14, 2020) BORGO PANIGALE, Italy — Ducati Motor Holding closed 2019 with 53,183 bikes delivered to customers worldwide, nudging last year's figure of 53,004 bikes even higher.

A major contribution to this result came from the Panigale: with sales totaling 8,304, it retains the market leadership established in 2018 and confirms its status as the world's best-selling superbike with a market share of 25%.

First Harley-Davidson Edition GMC pickup in history introduced

(January 10, 2020) MILWAUKEE — Harley-Davidson and Tuscany Motor Co. will introduce the first Harley-Davidson edition GMC pickup in history at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona on Jan, 11. Only 250 Harley-Davidson branded GMC Sierra trucks will be available through select authorized GMC/Tuscany dealers in North America.

The new pickup includes over 65 edition-specific components that make the 2020 model truck distinctly Harley-Davidson. The styling was inspired by the famous Harley-Davidson Fat Boy model.

Honda reaches 400 million-unit milestone in global motorcycle production

(December 25, 2019) — TORRANCE, Calif. — Since the introduction of the Dream D-Type in 1949, Honda's 70th anniversary of motorcycle mass-production marks the company's 400 million-unit milestone for global motorcycle production. Honda was founded in 1948 and began mass-production of motorcycles at its first overseas production facility in Belgium in 1963.

EagleRider expands its motorcycle subscription program

The "RIDE 12" and "PICK 6" premium memberships allow greater access to the fleet of thousands of motorcycles from a variety of brands like Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Royal Enfield, KTM, Husqvarna, Honda and Yamaha; including off-road products like dirt bikes, and side-by-sides; by giving subscribers 10 times more riding credits each month than the original membership program.

Free supercharger package offered for 2019 Harley-Davidson Ford F-150s

(November 30, 2019) ELKHART, Ind. — Supercharging is once again available on the Harley-Davidson F-150 as part of a new dealer program announced earlier this month by executives with manufacturer Tuscany Motor Company. To kick off the dealer supercharger option, any new 2019 F-150 Harley-Davidson purchased from a participating Ford dealer at MSRP will include the 700 horsepower supercharger installed at no additional charge.

BMW unveils Concept R 18 /2 Custom Cruiser motorcycle

Six months later, at the world’s biggest motorcycle show — the EICMA in Milan — BMW Motorrad now presents its second sensational concept bike based on a big boxer engine: the BMW Motorrad Concept R 18 /2 (pronounced: “Slash Two”).

Aston Martin and Brough Superior to collaborate on motorcycles

(October 25, 2019) GAYDON, UK — The iconic Aston Martin wings will appear on a motorcycle for the first time when the initial product of a new collaboration between Aston Martin Lagonda and Brough Superior is revealed at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, on Nov. 5.

Brough Superior, the eponymous performance motorcycle brand created by George Brough in 1919 and resurrected by enthusiasts long after his death is, like Aston Martin, a luxury brand with great heritage.
