New Aston Martin V12 Vantage roadster to debut at Pebble Beach

Ford India sells 15,282 vehicles in July, up 24 percent

(August 5, 2014) Ford India sold 15,282 vehicles in combined domestic wholesales and exports in July, a 24% increase from 12,338 vehicles sold in the corresponding month last year. July exports grew to 7,690 vehicles from 4,471 vehicles a year ago, while domestic wholesales remained steady at 7,592 units compared to 7,867 units sold in July last year.

ALG: Uptick in new car sales will create lower used car prices

(August 5, 2014) SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Relief for used-car shoppers from record-high prices is finally coming, according to ALG, the auto industry benchmark for future vehicle values. ALG analysts say a wave of newer vehicles has started to flood the secondhand market and will gradually bring resale values in line with what they were before 2008’s economic downturn.

Honda holds the line on 2015 Odyssey prices; up just $150 over 2014

(August 4, 2014) TORRANCE, Calif. — The class-leading 2015 Honda Odyssey has gone on sale with a starting Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $28,975. Honda says the Odyssey was the top selling minivan with individual (retail) car buyers in the U.S. in 2013 and in the first five months of 2014, based on new-vehicle registration statistics from IHS Automotive.

Honda has held the line on pricing the base Odyssey, which started at $28,825 for 2014, $150 less than 2015. Likewise, the top trim Touring Elite, which started at $44,450 for 2014, has received a very minor price boost to $44,600.

Bonhams to preview ultra-rare Ferrari 250 GTO at Monterey

(August 4, 2014) MONTEREY, Calif. — An example of arguably the most famous and sought-after classic race car ever — the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO — will be previewed by Bonhams at the Monterey Pre-Reunion Aug. 9 and 10. The classic race car, of which only 39 were constructed, will be shown in the Bonhams hospitality area at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca where the historic car racing is taking place.

Mercedes-Benz records best-ever July sales in the U.S.

(August 4, 2014) MONTVALE, N.J.  — Mercedes-Benz USA has reported its highest July retail volumes in its history with 30,757 units sold across the Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter and smart model lines, representing a 16.4% increase from the 26,423 vehicles sold the same month last year.

July sales for the Mercedes-Benz brand alone totaled 27,192, up 15%, bringing year-to-date volumes to a record 178,816. Adding year-to-date sales of 13,697 for Sprinter Vans and 5,998 at smart, MBUSA delivered a best-ever year-to-date grand total of 198,511.
