Honda holds the line on 2015 Odyssey prices; up just $150 over 2014

(August 4, 2014) TORRANCE, Calif. — The class-leading 2015 Honda Odyssey has gone on sale with a starting Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $28,975. Honda says the Odyssey was the top selling minivan with individual (retail) car buyers in the U.S. in 2013 and in the first five months of 2014, based on new-vehicle registration statistics from IHS Automotive.

Honda has held the line on pricing the base Odyssey, which started at $28,825 for 2014, $150 less than 2015. Likewise, the top trim Touring Elite, which started at $44,450 for 2014, has received a very minor price boost to $44,600.

The Odyssey received a host of powertrain, styling, interior, feature and safety equipment upgrades for the 2014 model year, including the acclaimed in-vehicle vacuum cleaner, the HondaVAC, featured on the Odyssey Touring Elite.

Other upgrades designed to meet the needs of active families included the addition of a standard 6-speed automatic transmission resulting in class-leading EPA fuel-economy ratings, enhanced safety equipment and connectivity upgrades.

These changes plus the functionality of the fundamental design elicited numerous 2014 awards. These ranged from Parents Magazine and Edumunds.com Best Minivan for Families and a Best Value award from Kiplinger’s Personal Finance to a Good Housekeeping VIP (Very Innovative Products) award and the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) naming the Odyssey a "greener choices of 2014” as the highest ranked minivan.

The 2014 Odyssey was the first and only minivan that model year to earn the coveted Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, and the 2015 model is expected to be similarly honored. View, build and price at 2015 Honda Odyssey at automobiles.honda.com/odyssey.
