Ford unleashes line-lock on Mustang EcoBoost models

(June 30, 2017) DEARBORN, Mich. — More rubber meets the road later this year when Ford expands the availability of electronic line-lock on 2018 Mustang. The track-exclusive feature – previously available only on V8-powered Mustang GT – will be standard on all pony cars, including those equipped with 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engines.

The feature is available with either the 10-speed SelectShift automatic or six-speed manual transmission.

A popular attraction for young and old alike are those monster truck shows that hard-of-hearing announcers promote in those incessant radio spots. I don’t know exactly what size tires those behemoths have — I’m guessing 450-inches…but then again I can’t tell the length of a foot if I had a ruler in my hand — but I’ve probably lived in smaller towns.

Lamborghini Centenario makes dynamic debut at Goodwood Festival

(June 30, 2017) GOODWOOD, UK — The Lamborghini Centenario makes its public dynamic debut this weekend at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the supercar class. Going "up the hill," the €1.75 million ($2 million) Centenario coupe, of which only 20 will be delivered to customers worldwide, has a 0-62 mph acceleration of just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph.

Ford recalls 402,462 Transit vans to replace driveshaft coupling

(June 29, 2017) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford has issued a safety recall for approximately 400,000 2015-17 Ford Transit van/bus vehicles with medium, long and extended wheelbases and chassis cab/cutaways with medium wheelbases to replace the driveshaft flexible coupling.

In the affected vehicles, continuing to operate a vehicle with a cracked flexible coupling may cause separation of the driveshaft, resulting in a loss of motive power while driving or unintended vehicle movement in park without the parking brake applied.
