Kelley predicts 4 percent new-vehicle sales drop in August

(August 26, 2015) IRVINE, Calif. — New-vehicle sales are expected to decline 4 percent year-over-year to a total of 1.52 million units in August, resulting in an estimated 17.2 million seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR), according to Kelley Blue Book. 

Industry sales are expected to decline in comparison to this time last year because auto sales from Labor Day weekend in 2014 were included in last year's August results.  This year, the Labor Day weekend sales days will be included in the September results, so the shift in the timing of Labor Day this year impacts the year-over-year results.

Automakers spend billions on technologies many consumers don't use

The 2015 DrIVE Report measures driver experiences with in-vehicle technology features during the first 90 days of ownership.

AAA reports cheapest average gas prices for late August since 2004

(August 25, 2015) WASHINGTON — Average U.S. gas prices are at the lowest levels for this time of year since 2004 due to the steep decline in the cost of crude oil, according to AAA's weekly report. Gas prices have dropped recently despite ongoing refinery problems, and prices should continue to fall this autumn due to declining demand and the switchover to winter-blend gasoline.

Customer satisfaction with automobiles weakens, ACSI study finds

AAA School Safety Patrol celebrates 95 years of student safety

As the program marks its 95th anniversary, patrollers across North America and in 30 countries will take their post for another school year, wearing their familiar 'Lectric Lime belt or vest.
