BMW adds wagon option to M3/M4 range with M3 Touring



(June 25, 2022) The BMW M GmbH model offensive continues in its 50th anniversary year with the addition of a fourth model type to the BMW M3/M4 range alongside the Sedan, Coupé and Convertible. The BMW M3 Touring will celebrated its world premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week. Orders for the new BMW M3 Touring can be taken from September, ahead of a market launch that will get underway with the start of production in November. The BMW M3 Touring will be produced alongside the BMW M3 Sedan at BMW Group Plant Munich.

Ford speeds toward all-electric, connected future in Europe



(June 23, 2022) COLOGNE, Germany — Ford in Europe today announced another stride toward an all-electric future, confirming that it has chosen its plant in Valencia, Spain, as the preferred site to assemble vehicles based on a next-generation electric vehicle architecture. Pending product approval, the Valencia plant could produce breakthrough electric and connected vehicles beginning later this decade.

Polestar 5 electric 4-door GT debuts new Polestar electric powertrain



(June 23, 2022) GOTHENBURG, Sweden — Polestar is showing a development prototype of the Polestar 5 in public for the first time at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed now underway. Polestar 5 is a high-performance electric 4-door GT with proper sports car credentials, and the production evolution of the Precept concept car first shown in 2020.

The Jeep became a go-anywhere icon in the U.S. after Willys-Overland began production of the civilian Jeep (known as CJ) following World War II. Old Jeeps in various states of repair can be seen in virtually every corner of the country. This Jeep of undetermined age needs some considerable restoration. It was found in Stantonsburg, N.C.

Toyota to collaborate on sustainable, closed-loop electrified battery ecosystem



(June 22, 2022) PLANO, Texas — Toyota, as part of its commitment to reduce its environmental footprint year after year and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, has embarked on a mission to create a sustainable, closed-loop battery ecosystem for its electrified powertrains. This mission focuses not only on the collection, testing and recycling of batteries into raw materials to create a sustainable supply chain, but also aims to develop second-life opportunities for remanufactured and repurposed Toyota hybrid electric vehicle batteries by leveraging battery health screening tools and empowering data from its vehicles.
