Evasive Motorsports Tesla Model 3 is fastest EV at Pikes Peak



(June 29, 2022) A wet course and dense fog during the 4,724-foot climb to the finish line made the 100th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb especially challenging for drivers on Sunday, June 26. Yet Japanese champion Daijiro Yoshihara was able to master the 156 turns on his way to the peak. He set a time of 11:06.205 in the Turn 14 Distribution / Yokohama Tire / ENEOS / Evasive Motorsports Tesla Model 3 Pikes Peak, which placed him ninth overall.

Hyundai unveils design of all-electric Ioniq 6 — Electrified Streamliner

Ford dealers now have access to remote-assistance technology



(June 28, 2022) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford dealerships across the country now have access to state-of-the-art remote viewing technology allowing them to receive real-time assistance for customer repairs from team members at the Ford Technical Assistance Center (TAC) in Dearborn. The two-way, hands-free electronic headset, known as See What I See (SWIS), allows for both visual and audio communication between the dealership technicians and team members at the Technical Assistance Center.

Electrify America raises $450 million; Siemens becomes minority shareholder



(June 28, 2022) RESTON, VA.  — Electrify America has announced it has raised $450 million of equity investments into the company at a post-money valuation of $2.45 billion. Siemens, through its financing arm Siemens Financial Services (SFS), will invest a low triple-digit million dollar amount in Electrify America and now holds a seat on the board.  Siemens is the first external investor in Electrify America.

2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV — Great if it’s not your only car

(June 27, 2022) In 2017 Chevrolet first came out with the all-electric Bolt hatchback. Now for 2022 the Bolt has been redesigned and the brand expanded by introducing the Bolt EUV (Electric Utility Vehicle) that is a bit larger and more practical.  Chevrolet is vaguely suggesting the Bolt EUV is a crossover vehicle, but it’s front-wheel drive only and its low ground clearance fails as a utility vehicle. The regular Bolt EV has a starting price of $31,500, the Bolt EUV is $2,000 more at $33,500.
