Mecum Monterey Daytime Auction exceeds $52.1 million in sales

(August 29, 2022) The 2022 Mecum Monterey Daytime Auction saw record attendance with enthusiastic crowds filling the fairways of the Del Monte Golf Course every day of the three-day classic and collector car auction event, held Aug. 18-20. Overall sales totals for Mecum’s annual California Car Week auction reached more than $52.1 million as a total of 297 vehicles changed hands. Among top individual sales, five sold for more than $2 million and a total of 12 sold for prices in the seven-figure range.

Hyundai retro vehicles rev up Netflix's 'Seoul Vibe'



(August 29, 2022) SEOUL — Hyundai has teamed up with Netflix on the new car chase movie "Seoul Vibe" by supplying the film with various retro models from the 1980s. The film was released globally on Netflix this weekend. Set during the 1988 Seoul Olympics, "Seoul Vibe" features Hyundai’s first-generation Grandeur (Azera), Pony Pickup, Porter light truck, and old sedans, such as second-generation Sonata, Stellar, and Cortina, etc.

Kia announces 2023 Forte with starting price of $20,585



(August 29, 2022) IRVINE, Calif. — One year after a significant product enhancement featured new front and rear design elements, a new available 10.25-inch widescreen navigation display, and an expanded roster of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, the Forte compact sedan returns mostly unchanged for model year 2023. The Forte is still available in four trim levels — LX (formerly FE), LXS, GT-Line, GT and maintains up to 41 MPG on the highway.

2023 Mustang Mach-E order banks re-open



(August 26, 2022) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford is reopening U.S. order banks Tuesday for the Mustang Mach-E with updated pricing and features as it continues to increase production for the popular all-electric SUV. Ford’s U.S. electric vehicle sales were up 168.7 percent in July with Mustang Mach-E up 74.1 percent, the second best-selling electric SUV in America. Starting in the fall, Premium models built with the Extended Range battery will have a targeted EPA-estimated range of 290 miles on all-wheel drive models, up 13 miles.
