McLaren Automotive enters India market



(August 25, 2022) British luxury supercar maker McLaren Automotive today confirms its imminent entry into the major Indian market, the brand’s 41st global territory. With the opening of first retail outlet McLaren Mumbai in October, McLaren’s arrival in India forms a key part of the marque’s global expansion plans and extends the brand’s already well-established and growing presence in the Asia Pacific region.

(August 25, 2022) TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Broad Arrow Auctions, a Hagerty company has announced that sales from its Aug. 18 live auction at the Monterey Jet Center totaled nearly $55.3 million with 88 percent of all 93 lots on offer sold. The Thursday auction was held in conjunction with Hagerty’s reimagined Motorlux event (formerly McCall’s Motorworks Revival) on Wednesday evening, with thousands of guests across the two events viewing the cars on offer.

Toyota, NREL collaborate to advance megawatt-scale fuel cell systems

Hyundai, Kia recall more than 280,000 Palisade, Telluride vehicles



(August 24 2022) WASHINGTON — Hyundai and Kia recalling more than 280,000 large crossovers because of an issue with the tow hitch harness that may lead to a fire while parked or driving. The recall covers about 245,030 Hyundai Palisades in the U.S. and 39,280 Kia Tellurides in the U.S. and Canada, both from the 2020-22 model years, according to Automotive News.

Ford to stop selling Transit Connect vans in U.S.



(August 23, 2022) DETROIT — Ford has canceled a plan to build the next-generation Transit Connect van in Mexico and will stop selling the vehicle in the U.S. by the end of next year, according to three people with knowledge of the decision, according to Automotive News. Ford currently imports the Transit Connect from Spain.
