Electrify America registers 1.45 million EV charging sessions in 2021

(May 3, 2022) ESTON, Va. — Electrify America provided 1.45 million customer electric vehicle (EV) charging sessions in 2021 which highlights the rapid deployment of it charging stations across the United States.  By comparison, the company recorded 268,000 customer EV charging session in 2020. Electrify America estimates that EV drivers avoided the use of 5.7 million gallons of gas while traveling more than 145 million electric vehicle miles. The company dispensed 41.4 gigawatt-hours of energy to power customer’s electric vehicles in 2021.

Toyota, NEEF and P2 team up on pollinator friendly places project

(May 2, 2022) PLANO, Texas — Pollinators put food on our tables. One out of every three bites we eat comes to us courtesy of pollinators such as bees, butterflies, moths, flower flies, beetles and bats. Today, Toyota is donating $400,000 to the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) and the Pollinator Partnership (P2) that will be used to enhance 26,000 acres of pollinator habitat across North America over the next five years.

Acura engineers compete in One Lap of America rally in TLX Type S

(May 2, 2022) A team of Acura engineers have taken the brand's high performance Type S variant to a different form of competition as they tackle the iconic 2022 Tire Rack One Lap of America, a demanding eight-day, 3,200-mile road rally, April 30 – May 7. Driving a turbocharged 2022 Acura TLX Type S sports sedan they helped create, two engineers from Honda's Ohio-based North American Auto Development Center, Nicolas Hammann and Clifton Ching, are competing in the grueling competition that includes timed events at nine racetracks across the U.S.
