J&P Cycles announces partnership with Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Jessi Combs named Grand Marshal for Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

(July 13, 2017) STURGIS, S.D. — Known as the Fastest Woman on Four-Wheels, Black Hills native Jessi Combs has been named the Grand Marshal for the 15th Annual Sturgis Mayor’s Ride scheduled to take place on Monday, Aug. 7, during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

“The City of Sturgis is very excited to have Jessi Combs join us as we celebrate the 77th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally,” said Sturgis Mayor Mark Carstensen.

Mecum vintage motorcycle auction brings in $4.4 million in Las Vegas

(June 8, 2017) LAS VEGAS — Mecum’s first foray into Nevada for a spring season vintage motorcycle auction in Las Vegas was a pronounced success with 339 motorcycles hammering sold June 2-3 for an 80-percent sell-through rate and $4.4 million in overall sales.

Highlighted by the $95,000 sale of a gorgeously restored 1950 Vincent Black Shadow, top sales at the auction were strong and showed off the great variety of marques available.

Atlanta Concours invites motorcycles of provenance for fall event

Harley-Davidson becomes official motorcycle of SVRA

First quarter Harley-Davidson sales, profits off compared to 2016

(April 18, 2017) MILWAUKEE — Harley-Davidson's first quarter 2017 diluted EPS decreased 22.8 percent to $1.05 compared to $1.36 in the same period of 2016. First quarter net income was $186.4 million on consolidated revenue of $1.50 billion versus net income of $250.5 million on consolidated revenue of $1.75 billion in the first quarter of last year.

"First quarter U.S. retail sales were in line with our projections and we remain confident in our full-year plan despite international retail sales being down in the first quarter," said Matt Levatich, CEO, Harley-Davidson.
