Clark Kent wasn’t the only mild-mannered guy to have a career in journalism and he wasn’t the only Superman in his profession, either. There’s a soft-spoken man out there named Jim Dunne who would give this red-thonged candy-ass a real run for his money.

Far from being a hulking behemoth with muscles every place he doesn’t have muscles, Dunne has spent almost a half-century perfecting a little-known and lesser-populated profession known as “spy photography.”

Nissan product planner offers his thoughts on Detroit auto show

Hits and misses from the Detroit auto show

(January 14, 2012) DETROIT — The Automotive News has picked the hits and misses from the Detroit auto show. And the industry trade publication found that design, not recovery from the economic downturn, was the hot topic.

The Detroit auto show was not the kind of gloom-fest that has marked several international auto shows in the past three years. Cobo Center was crammed with introductions — including the ogle-worthy Acura NSX and the Aston-like Ford Fusion — that brought fun and fantasy back into the old building.

Fuel economy edges up .5 mpg in 2011

(January 13, 2012) SANTA MONICA, Calif. — TrueCar.com today provided actual economy numbers from new car sales indicating TrueMPG will increase to 22.2 mpg in 2011 compared to 21.7 mpg in 2010. 

In December, light vehicle auto sales show TrueMPG) increased to 22.2 mpg from 21.7 mpg in December 2010, and decreased from November 2011 at 22.3 mpg.
