Survey shows many teens text, but worry about crashing

(October 19, 2015) BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — In observance of National Teen Driver Safety Week, State Farm has released the results of a recent survey of young drivers ages 16-19. The focus of the survey was to learn more about their attitudes and behaviors when it comes to distracted driving. The survey revealed that nearly all teens, over 90 percent, say they understand texting while driving is distracting, yet 44 percent say they do it.

Gas prices hold steady as seasonal decline temporarily stalls

(October 6, 2015) WASHINGTON — Pump prices remain relatively stable, with today’s national average price for regular unleaded gasoline holding at $2.29 per gallon for the 12th consecutive day. Today’s average price is up by fractions of a penny compared to one week ago, but has moved lower for 43 of the past 49 days, providing drivers with a savings of 12 cents per gallon month-over-month, according to statistics released by AAA.

Significant yearly discounts remain with drivers saving $1.01 per gallon on average, largely attributed to cheaper crude oil and ample gasoline supplies.

Survey finds mistrust of VW brand rides high; crisis could spread

(October 5, 2015) IRVINE, Calif —  Kelley Blue Book kbb.com and Autotrader today report that more than 70 percent of KBB.com survey respondents believe the diesel emissions issue could spread beyond just Volkswagen. As for the brand's reputation, the majority of those surveyed say they have "complete" or "general mistrust" in Volkswagen.

In addition, according to a recent Autotrader Quick Poll, 30 percent of respondents say they would be less likely to consider a diesel vehicle.
