Dodge Challenger wins ‘Car of Texas’ at TAWA spring event


(April 18, 2019) DENTON, Texas — A Dodge muscle car won the top award at the 2019 Texas Auto Roundup. After 44 journalist members of the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) evaluated 29 vehicles April 14-16, the 2019 Dodge Challenger was crowned the overall Car of Texas. 



“Driving enthusiasts in Texas love horsepower, and the Challenger’s classic muscular lines and monumental power won over our voters,” said Michael Marrs, president of TAWA and co-host of the In Wheel Time radio show in Houston.

Mustang claims title as best-selling sports coupe in the world

(April 17, 2019) DEARBORN, Mich. — As Ford marks Mustang’s 55th anniversary on this National Mustang Day, enthusiasts everywhere are celebrating the world’s best-selling sports coupe for the fourth consecutive year.

From Australia to Peru, Mustang reigns as the best-selling sports coupe in the world for 2018, selling 113,066 cars, according to data from IHS Markit. 2018 not only marks the fourth straight year of Mustang’s global leadership as world’s best-selling sports coupe, but also as best-selling sports car in the United States, where Ford sold 75,842 Mustangs last year.

Toyota’s fourth-generation Highlander redesigned from the ground up

Chevrolet to unwrap next-generation Corvette on July 18

(April 15, 2019) Chevrolet reports that it will unwrap the next-generation Corvette, featuring a mid-engine layout for the first time on July 18. While the car has been photographed undergoing road tests for months, it's the first time Chevrolet has confirmed plans for the next-generation of the venerable sports car.

GM President Mark Reuss, who also heads the automaker's global product development programs, posted an image of the eighth-generation Corvette — the C8 — on his Facebook page late Thursday.
