Chinese electric vehicle maker Byton to show SUV concept in L.A.

(November 27, 2018) LOS ANGELES — Chinese electric vehicle maker Byton will showcase its latest innovations at Automobility LA and the Los Angeles Auto Show 2018, including the U.S. auto show debut of the K-Byte Concept sedan. In its booth during the Los Angeles Auto Show, Byton will also offer the first consumer test rides in the M-Byte Concept SUV, a production version of which is scheduled to launch in China in late 2019 and the U.S. and Europe by 2020.

Infiniti returns to Los Angeles Auto Show with Prototype 10 concept

Mazda announces extended availability for smartphone integrations

(November 26, 2018) IRVINE, Calif. — Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has announced that Apple CarPlay integration for iPhone, and Android Auto, are now available as a dealer-installed update for applicable Mazda vehicles, model year 2014 or newer and equipped with MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system.

This dealer-installed update includes both hardware and software components. Applicable Mazda vehicles will be equipped with a more powerful, faster-charging 2.1-amp USB ports in addition to the latest version of MAZDA CONNECT.

Nissan announces pricing for 2019 Rogue Sport starting at $23,235

(November 22, 2018) NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nissan has announced pricing for the 2019 Rogue Sport crossover, which is available now at Nissan dealers nationwide. It has a starting price of  $23,235 including destination charge for the Rogue Sport S front-wheel drive model.

The Rogue Sport adds a number of significant enhancements for the 2019 model year — led by the addition of available ProPILOT Assist, Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology, an updated audio system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and available Bose Audio System with nine speakers.

MINI John Cooper Works Knights Edition to be shown in L.A.

(November 21, 2018) MINI USA today announced that the MINI John Cooper Works Knights Edition will make its North American premiere at the Los Angeles International Auto Show starting Nov. 28. MINI also confirmed series production for a new MINI John Cooper Works GP for launch in 2020.

The MINI John Cooper Works GP Concept was first presented as a design study at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2017 and had its North American premiere at the New York International Auto Show earlier this year.

Route 66 post-war Nash



Many old cars decorate the 2,300 miles of Route 66 and this circa 1946-1948 Nash is a good example. This two-door coupe was found in Baxter Springs, Kan., advertising a bail bondsman. Nash enjoyed good sales after World War II building 94,000 cars in 1946, 101,000 in 1947 and 110,000 in 1948.
