Open air Studebaker

The Studebaker Champion was produced from the 1939 model year until 1958. It was a full-size car in its first three generations and a mid-size car in its fourth and fifth generation models. The base engine was a 2.8-liter inline 6 making 85 horsepower. 1950 marked the first year Studebaker offered an automatic transmission. Polestar evaluates strength of carbon fiber body in first crash test

(November 1, 2018) Polestar has undertaken the first of a series of crash tests as part of the development of the Polestar 1. This represents the first time the Volvo Car Group has assessed the strength of a carbon fiber reinforced polymer body in a real crash situation.

“We were really excited about this crash test. The first crash test of Polestar 1 has been about exploring the unknown,” says Thomas Ingenlath, chief executive officer at Polestar.
