'British Invasion' display set for opening of LeMay Museum in June

(March 29, 2012) TACOMA, Wash. — The LeMay Museum, America’s Car Museum, has announced a new exhibit that will be available upon its official public opening on Saturday, June 2. Their “British Invasion” display will commemorate the 1960s cultural revolution and will feature some of England’s more notable vehicles, including Mini, MG, Austin-Healey, Jaguar and Aston Martin, as well as the Museum’s 2.5-liter Coventry Climax-powered 1965 Lotus  Type 35 Tasman Cup Series racer, one of 22 built.

Short-lived Renault Avantime marks 10th anniversary

To mark the occasion a special meeting is being held for owners and enthusiasts next month.

Dick Burdick collection goes for $4.83 million

(March 17, 2012) Classic-car auction house Dan Kruse Classics recently auctioned the Dick Burdick collection from the Central Texas Auto Museum for $4.83 million. The auction, which took place March 3, 2012, in Smithville, Texas, was the first time that the entire Burdick collection of automobiles was made available for sale.

Two Saab collectors purchase 10 cars from heritage collection

(March 4, 2012) American Saab fans can breathe a sigh of relief, now that we know which parties won the bidding for the 10 vehicles of Saab Cars North America’s Heritage collection, which were auctioned on Friday, Feb. 10, in one lot.

According to SaabsUnited, half of the cars went to Bill Jacobson of Sports Car Service in Wilmington, Del., and half went to Tom Donney of Tom Donney Motors in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The two pooled their resources in one winning bid.

Hagerty Insurance lists Buick Regal GS as future collectible
