(September 27, 2012) LOS ANGELES — Total Car Score has identified the Top 10 Classic Muscle Cars based on current auction prices. The site has also identified 10 modern-era muscle cars that offer excellent performance capabilities at a much lower cost, as well as the potential to be future classics.

"We're seeing a general rise in auction and listing prices of classic muscle cars as market interest in these models picks up," said Karl Brauer, Editor in Chief of Total Car Score.

Jaguar enthusiasts embark on American road trip

James Bond’s Aston Martin could raise $239,000 for charity

(September 8, 2012) LONDON — A 2008 Aston Martin six-liter V12 DBS 2-Door coupe used by Daniel Craig in “Quantum of Solace” is among 40 lots of James Bond memorabilia to go under the hammer Oct. 5 at a charity auction in London.

“The Aston Martin DBS plays a dramatic role in the opening sequence of the film, in which Bond skillfully navigates winding roads,” Christie’s International said today in an e-mailed release. The car is expected to fetch as much as $239,000 (150,000 pounds).

Russo and Steele Monterey 2012 auction tops $10 million in sales

(August 26, 2012) The Russo and Steele Monterey Auction 2012 was held Aug. 16-18 by Fisherman’s Wharf on the waterfront in downtown Monterey, California, resulting in preliminary total sales exceeding $10 million.

The 12th annual Russo and Steele Monterey Auction Aug. 16-18 saw more than 250 cars cross the auction block in Russo’s interactive and entertaining fashion with the top car a 1965 Shelby Cobra 289 CSX2538 that sold for $781,000. Total sales exceeded $10 million.

Pink Floyd drummer Rick Mason to take part again in famous 'run'

One of those who has taken part in many London to Brighton Veteran Car Runs is club member Nick Mason — the drummer with legendary rock band Pink Floyd — and he plans to be on hand for this year's run.

They got BOND IN MOTION, an exhibition celebrating 50 years of James Bond films. Simply Bond was a special one-off event in which owners of vehicles of the same make and model as any of the vehicles that have appeared in the Bond films, were invited to put them on display in the Beaulieu parkland for the day.
