Harley-Davidson breaks ground on permanent Sturgis location

(March 26, 2015) STURGIS, S.D. — Harley-Davidson and the city of Sturgis traded-in gilded shovels and ceremonial hard hats for revving motorcycles and open-face helmets to break ground, or more accurately, tear it up to start construction of The Harley-Davidson Rally Point, the city's new permanent year-round space for riders.

Mecum motorcycle auction sales reach $12,270,000

(March 24, 2015) What took nearly 50 years to accumulate, was dispersed in mere hours as Mecum Auctions offered the 225 motorcycles of the E.J. Cole Collection on March 20-21 at South Point Casino and Exhibit Hall in Las Vegas. Total hammer sales reached $12,270,000 — the most ever achieved by a single vintage motorcycle auction.

Swamp Fox Biker Bash set for Myrtle Beach Bike Week

Honda Financial presents loyal owner his 55th Honda motorcycle

BMW motorcycle sales continue at torrid pace

(March 17, 2015) MUNICH — In February BMW Motorrad sales increased by 13.5% achieving the fifth straight all-time high for the month. BMW sold 9,195 motorcycles and maxi scooters to customers worldwide last month.

BMW Motorrad delivers fleet of electric scooters to Barcelona

(March 16, 2015) BARCELONA, Spain — A fleet of maxi scooters comprising 30 of the new BMW C evolution was delivered to the Barcelona City Hall for use by the local police. The first completely electrically powered scooter manufactured by BMW Motorrad will allow the police to move with maximum efficiency and zero emissions.

The BMW C evolution is BMW Motorrad’s answer to zero-emissions urban mobility. With a continuous output of 15 horsepower and a maximum output of 47 horsepower, the scooter is homologated to be ridden with an A1 or B license.
