Several years ago manufacturers came up with a safety device called a “ground illuminating mirror.” When putting the gearshift lever in reverse the outside rearview mirrors tilt downward. Its purpose is to make it easier to see if any small children or pets might be looming below the driver’s sight line.

Electrify America increases solar-powered EV charging for rural California



(February 5, 2012) RESTON, Va. — Electrify America, the nation’s largest public ultra-fast charging network, has officially added 30 solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging stations with two Level 2 chargers each to its network in the state of California. The off-grid, standalone chargers are strategically located throughout the Central Valley and inland areas of Southern California, intended to provide greater access to sustainable EV charging for drivers in rural parts of the state.

Airspeeder — World’s first electric flying racing car is ready to race




(February 5, 2021) LONDON — Airspeeder has revealed the world’s first fully functioning electric flying racing car. The Airspeeder Mk3, is a full-sized remotely-operated electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle (eVTOL). It will compete in an upcoming remotely-piloted Airspeeder racing series that will stand as a technical test-bed and feeder series to a manned racing series in 2022. The unveiling of the vehicle represents the realization of more than three years development work to create a sport that will accelerate a new clean-air aerial mobility revolution.

GM teams up with Will Ferrell for Super Bowl ad

In the commercial, "No Way, Norway," Kenan Thompson and Awkwafina join Ferrell on his action-packed journey to give Norwegians a piece of his mind. A 60-second version of the ad will air during the first quarter.
