Four months after launching production of the combustion-engined Mini Countryman, the all-electric version is now rolling off the lines at Leipzig as well. GM recalling 820,000 late-model pickups over tailgate issue

(March 2, 2024) WASHINGTON — General Motors said on Friday it is recalling 820,000 newer pickups in North America because tailgates could unlatch and open unexpectedly. The issue covers 2020 through 2024 model year trucks with power unlatching liftgates because water could leak into the exterior tailgate switch and cause a short circuit while parked.

Hyundai reports record-breaking February sales

(March 1, 2024) FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — Hyundai Motor America reported record-breaking total February sales of 60,341 units, a 6% increase compared with February 2023. Hyundai set total sales records in February for Tucson (+8%), Tucson PHEV (+280%), Tucson HEV (+29%), Palisade (+16%), and Kona EV (+15%).
