All-new 2015 Nissan Murano goes on sale this week

(December 8, 2014) NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nissan dealers across the country have something a little extra to dress up their showrooms this December beyond the usual oversized red bows and ribbons — the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano.

"Nissan dealers have been clamoring for the new Murano ever since the design was previewed in the futuristic Nissan Resonance Concept," said Derrick Hatami, vice president, Sales — U.S. "Now that Murano has arrived in their showrooms, there's another great reason to celebrate the holiday season."

The 2015 Murano is offered in four trim levels — S, SV, SL and Platinum — and in a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Starting or the Murano S FWD is $29,560, while the top-of-the-line Murano Platinum AWD is priced at $40,600.

Every 2015 Murano comes with a standard 260-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6 connected to an advanced Xtronic continuously variable transmission. Fuel economy has increased 20 percent for combined mpg from the previous generation and is rated at 21/28/24 mpg city/highway/combined for both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models.

Murano's new magnetic exterior design includes its dramatic V-motion front end, LED boomerang lights and the unique floating roof — which utilizes prominent glass areas and D-pillars that appear disconnected from the roof that help visually lighten the cabin appearance. The sleek, aerodynamic styling offers a low coefficient of drag of just 0.31, without compromising cargo or passenger space. LED Signature lights and LED taillights are standard on all 2015 Murano models.

The breakthrough exterior design carries into the interior, which offers an engaging social lounge feel through features such as the refined instrument panel, low center console, advanced Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seating, and the airy atmosphere created by the large windows and oversized Power Panoramic Moonroof.
