Roy Rogers' vehicles sold in summer of 2010

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans founded a museum to display their television and movie memorabilia in southern California's Apple Valley in 1967. The museum moved to a larger building in nearby Victorville in 1976. The family of Rogers and Evans, who died in 1998 and 2001 respectively, moved the museum to Branson, Mo., in 2003.

But the museum in its new location failed to bring in enough visitors and closed in December 2009.

Sales total $68 million at Barrett-Jackson auction

(January 29, 2011) Barrett-Jackson sold 1,245 cars at no reserve at its Scottsdale, Ariz., show this year, for a final tally of $68 million, according to Hemmings Motor News. The top sale of the event was a custom 44-foot speed boat with a matching 2008 Corvette Z06 coupe that were auctioned off together for $742,500.
