Joe approaches 1 million mile mark in 1990 Honda Accord

McQueen motorcycle, oldest Bentley to be auctioned

(June 15, 2011) The world's oldest Bentley and a Brough Superior motorcycle once owned by Steve McQueen are joining the Gooding & Co.auction lineup at the Pebble Beach Classic Car Auctions Aug. 20 and 21, AutoWeek reports.

The 1921 Chassis 3 was the first customer car to leave the Bentley factory. It has since participated in vintage Bentley rallies and is perfectly useable to this day — with the original aluminum body and fully disappearing top.

Excellent example of 1954 Ford Ranch Wagon

(June 13, 2011) We ran across this immaculate 1954 Ford Ranch Wagon in a Lowe's Home Improvement parking lot in Morehead City, N.C., over Memorial Day weekend.

The Ford lineup was redesigned in 1952 at which time two additional station wagons were added to the model range. The new models fell below the Country Squire in price.

1955 Nash Rambler wagon spotted on California street

(May 24, 2011) A well-maintained 1955 Nash Rambler wagon was spotted on a Weaverville, Calif., street in early May. The model year can be determined because 1955 was the first year the Rambler came with open front wheel wells.

The compact-sized Nash Rambler was a good idea when it was conceived in the late '40s hitting the market in 1950. The Rambler has been acknowledged to be the first successful modern American compact car.

1946 Lincoln V-12 found on Arizona car lot

(May 23, 2011) This well preserved 1946 Lincoln sedan was found on a car lot in Kingman, Arizona, complete with factory fender skirts.

Although the overall shape remained the same from the 1941 model year, the big Lincoln received a makeover for 1942 with new grille, fender and headlight treatments and some rather interesting pushbutton door handles attached to the "suicide" doors that were in vogue in those days.

103 Cadillacs needed for small Vermont town to set record

Hemmings Great Race — Tennessee to Vermont

(May 11, 2011) The 2011 Hemmings Motor News Great Race has been revived and will be run this year from June 11 through June 17 and cover seven states starting at Chattanooga, Tenn., and ending at Bennington, Vt.

The total race course is about 1,575 miles through the Appalachian Mountains.
