Mitsubishi reveals design of the 2022 Outlander PHEV model



(October 15, 2021) TOKYO — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has revealed the design of the all-new, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Outlander crossover SUV, confirming it will share the same styling as the all-new, gasoline-powered Outlander that launched earlier this year in North America. Sales are scheduled to begin in Japan in mid-December and in the U.S. in the second half of calendar-year 2022.

With 590 vehicles crossing the block Oct. 7-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the auction saw high-quality offerings lead to active bidding both on-site and online, resulting in 508 vehicles hammering sold for a strong 86% sell-through rate.

2022 Volkswagen Jetta EPA-estimated ratings announced for all models



(October 14, 2021) HERNDON, Va. — Volkswagen of America has announced the official fuel economy ratings for the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta. 2022 Jetta base models are now equipped with the 1.5-liter turbocharged and direct-injection EA211 TSI engine found in the Taos compact SUV, featuring Volkswagen’s modified version of the Miller cycle, where the intake valves are closed early in the induction stroke to help with fuel economy, and has a very high compression ratio of up to 11.5 to one. The upshot is a combination of low-speed torque and competitive fuel economy.
