Toyota charges into electrified future in the U.S. with $3.4 billion investment



(October 19, 2021) PLANO, Texas — Toyota has announced that it will invest approximately $3.4 billion in automotive batteries in the United States through 2030. Specifically, the investment is for developing and localizing automotive battery production, including those for battery electric vehicles, and is part of the global total of about $13.5 billion set aside for investment in battery development and production announced last month by Toyota Motor Corporation.

Toyota Alabama’s future is electrified, turbocharged



(October 19, 2021) HUNTSVILLE, Ala.  — Together with state and community leaders, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Alabama (TMMAL) held an event to celebrate the first of Toyota’s latest engine products for the all-new 2022 Tundra to come off the production line. These new engines, a hybrid electric powered twin-turbo V6 engine and the gas-powered twin-turbo V6 engine, usher in the next era of powertrains being assembled in Huntsville.

Abandoned in Seligman, Ariz.



A circa 1934 Ford pickup and a 1954 Chevrolet two door is one of the attractions at the Rusty Bolt shop on Route 66 in Seligman, Ariz. It's possible to see numerous old and abandoned cars in the small Arizona town.  The Seligman Commercial Historic District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

European Ford Focus gets styling, technology updates for 2022

(October 18, 2021) The LEGO Technic McLaren Senna GTR has accelerated its way onto a new racetrack — this time, the tarmac of Asphalt 9: Legends, the latest game in the Asphalt racing series, a franchise which recently crossed the 1 billion download mark. From today until Oct. 30, racing fans will be able to vie for pole position and win prizes in the LEGO Technic McLaren Senna GTR by taking part in the first ever LEGO Technic McLaren Grand Prix event in an Asphalt game.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado refreshed with new interior, grille treatment

(October 19, 2021) It doesn’t happen often, but Chevrolet missed the mark with the current generation Silverado.  Unveiled the same day as the current Ram with its tablet touchscreen, sophisticated interior, air suspension, and aerodynamic exterior, the big Chevy looked homely with its big nose and interior that was way too much like the previous generation.  This hasn’t deterred Chevy fans from buying it, and all indications point to an excellent truck, but it needed to advance more in the insanely competitive full-size truck segment.  For 2022, Silverado trims its course.
