Ford Expedition Timberline Off-Grid Concept equipped for extreme adventures



(October 11, 2021) DEARBORN, Mich. — Built for more extreme adventures, Ford has debuted the Expedition Timberline Off-Grid concept vehicle in conjunction with the Overland Expo East in Arrington, Va. The one-off model is based on the new 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline series, the most off-road-capable Expedition ever. The Expedition Timberline Off-Grid concept is upfitted with proven names in off-road hardware and off-road accessories to help adventurers confidently trek to hard-to-reach mountainside trailheads, remote lakes and distant desert dunes.

Two million BMW vehicles eligible for remote software upgrade



(October 11, 2021) MUNICH, Germany —  BMW Remote Software Upgrades deliver comprehensive improvements to key vehicle functions, bring the latest digital products into the vehicle over the air and ensure software is always up to date. The BMW Group is offering its third over-the-air upgrade this year — this time for around two million BMW vehicles worldwide. By the end of 2021, the world’s largest upgrade-compatible fleet will be on the roads, with over 2.5 million connected BMW vehicles, from conventionally powered cars to plug-in hybrids to the fully-electric BMW.

Mustang adds Stealth Edition Appearance Package for 2022

Hyundai invests $1.1 billion for two hydrogen fuel cell plants in Korea




(October 10, 2021) INCHEON, Incheon, Korea — Hyundai is moving full speed ahead worldwide to advance the use of hydrogen fuel cells to power electric vehicles. To this end, Hyundai Mobis has announced it will build two new fuel cell plants in Korea to accelerate the hydrogen economy and to secure broader global market dominance. Hyundai Mobis announced it would invest  $1.1 billion in the two plants.

Toyota Mirai sets 'world record' with 845-mile zero emission journey



(October 9, 2021) LOS ANGELES — The 2021 Toyota Mirai has officially set the Guinness World Records title for the longest distance by a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle without refueling. The Mirai achieved an unprecedented 845 miles driven on a single, five-minute complete fill of hydrogen during a roundtrip tour of Southern California as it set the record. Recently selected by Ward’s Automotive as a 10Best Engine & Propulsion Systems winner, the Toyota Mirai’s record sets a new distance milestone for zero emission vehicles.

GM's new Ultra Cruise will cover 2 million miles of roads

Volta Trucks introduces full-electric Volta Zero to the Netherlands



(October 8, 2021) Volta Trucks, a leading and disruptive full-electric commercial vehicle manufacturer and services provider, will present the Volta Zero to Dutch customers as it continues its successful European tour into the Netherlands.
