Despite best month ever for trucks, August sales off 2 percent at Toyota

(September 5, 2018) PLANO, Texas — Despite the best-ever month for truck sales, Toyota North America reported total August sales — including the Lexus luxury brand — down 2 percent year-over-year on weaker car demand. Toyota North America sold 223,055 units in August compared to sales of 227,625 in August 2017. The Toyota division was down 1.2 percent and Lexus was off 7.1 percent.

Lexus sales are off 2.3 percent for the first eight months of 2018 while the Toyota division is up 1.2 percent for the year.
 

2019 Nissan Armada's starting price set at $48,185

(September 5, 2018) NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan today announced U.S. pricing for the 2019 Nissan Armada full-size, 8-passenger SUV, which is on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide. It starts at $48,185 including destination charge. That represents a $700 price increase over the base 2018 Armada.

For the 2019 model year, Armada adds to its comprehensive suite of standard features including class-above 8-passenger seating, best-in-class standard 390 horsepower and towing capacity of 8,500 pounds for both 4WD and 2WD models.

Mercedes launches first all-electric vehicle; on sale in U.S. in 2020

(September 5, 2018) Mercedes-Benz on Tuesday unveiled its first all-electric vehicle, the EQC, in Stockholm. The compact crossover is expected to go on sale in the U.S. in 2020 and will be the first of a fleet of 10 full-electric EQ-branded vehicles. Powered by an 80-kilowatt-hour battery, the EQC delivers 200 miles of driving range on a full charge.

Nissan's 'Heisman House' campaign enters eighth year

BMW building Driving Simulation Centre in Munich
