Special edition Volvo C70 to debut in Los Angeles

(November 8, 2011) Volvo has announced the arrival of the new Inscription edition of the C70 — at launch in 2006, the world's first four-seater convertible car with a three-piece folding hard top as standard.

The new Inscription edition, to be shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show, blends distinctive exterior details such as the painted grille and black 18-inch wheels with exclusive interior features, including Sovereign Hide upholstery and a leather-covered dashboard.

The Volvo C70 Inscription will become available in February 2012. Worldwide production volume will be limited to 2,000 units a year.

"The Inscription is based on our human-centric Designed Around You philosophy, offering those customers who love convertibles and coupés a beautifully detailed version with a lot of curb appeal," says Doug Speck, Senior Vice President Marketing, Sales and Customer Service at Volvo Car Corporation.

At the front of the Inscription edition, the high-gloss paint on the grille and the LED Daytime Running Lights are both surrounded by contrasting chrome, giving this C70 a distinctive "face".
