(October 11, 2012) FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Nissan on Wednesday announced a starting price of $28,270 for the totally redesigned 2013 Pathfinder SUV, which goes on sale at U.S. Nissan dealers nationwide in late October. Nissan says the latest iteration of Nissan's popular family adventure-ready SUV is designed to reset the standard for the segment with an unprecedented level of premium style, comfort, fuel economy and thoughtful technology.

Making the switch from body-on-frame to unibody construction, the newest generation remains family adventure ready with the highest standard towing rating in its class (5,000 pounds), while also offering best-in-class 26 mpg — an increase in fuel economy of over 30 percent versus the previous generation Pathfinder.  Fuel economy is rated at 26 mpg highway / 20 mpg city and 22 mpg combined for the 2WD model and 25/19/ 21 for the 4WD model.
