McLaren teases new product with dramatic light show

(September 18, 2012) The rumored McLaren F1 successor may debut at the Paris Motor Show on Sept. 27, and the British automaker wants to keep it in the public eye. In a new video called “McLaren vs Aerodynamics – The Next Chapter,” McLaren entertains with a one-minute light show in which bursts of light bounce off the curves of what appears to be a supercar.

The previously released image presented an initial outline of what was to come. The video shows trails of light traveling over a seemingly invisible form, with the airflow creating a dynamic shape with dramatic visual effect.

Established in 1989, McLaren is a British manufacturer based on Formula One technology. It works closely with McLaren Racing, the successful Formula One constructor, and is a spinoff of McLaren Group.
