Maserati Quattroporte part of state auction in Pennsylvania

(June 4, 2013) HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania will host one of the largest state vehicle auctions on June 10 featuring more than 665 units highlighted by 27 motorcycles, a Maserati Quattroporte and several other high-end seized vehicles. The auction will take place at the Manheim Auto Auctions, 488 Firehouse Road in Grantville, Dauphin County.

"Our state vehicle auctions always present an opportunity for members of the public to find a quality used vehicle at a fair price, and this auction is no different," state General Services Secretary Sheri Phillips said. "As an added bonus, there are 27 motorcycles and several high-end vehicles, including a Maserati Quattroporte, which should add to the public's purchasing interest."

Available high-end vehicles include those from manufacturers such as Lexus, BMW and Infiniti, while motorcycles from manufacturers including Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha will be offered. In addition, vehicles no longer used by state agencies from manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Jeep and others will be up for bid.

A vehicle preview for the public to inspect the vehicles will take place beginning on Thursday, June 6, through Sunday, June, 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at Manheim Auto Auctions in Grantville.

The auction will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 10. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and closes at noon. Buyers may purchase with cash or certified funds in the form of money orders, cashier's checks, certified checks or bank checks – all made payable to "Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction."

The commonwealth holds six vehicle auctions per year and all revenue generated is returned to the state.
