Infiniti 'takes luxury to new heights' with all-new 2025 QX80

Standard twin-turbo 6-cylinder
makes 450 hp; starts at $84,445

(March 23, 2024) NEW YORK — The all-new 2025 Infiniti QX80 made its debut at Edge, the 100-story-high outdoor sky deck at Hudson Yards in conjunction with the New York Auto Show. The big flagship SUV comes complete with fresh styling inspired by the QX Monograph concept vehicle. The new QX80 wears an imposing shape, with an upright front end, large-mouth grille and big wheels.

"The all-new 2025 Infiniti QX80 is the ultimate expression of bold design, first-ever technologies and detailed craftsmanship, and we believe it reestablishes the standard for full-size luxury SUVs," said Craig Keeys, group vice president, Infiniti Americas. "Infiniti is no stranger to pushing the envelope of what is possible, and with this epic, first-ever vehicle debut at Edge at Hudson Yards, our reveal of the all-new QX80 continues to show Infiniti's passion for delivering the extraordinary."

QX80 seamlessly blends the latest technology with inspiration from the natural world; the signature Infiniti double-arch grille and the shape of the LED daytime running lights reference the organic shapes of a bamboo forest, while the full-width tail light element uses over 300 LEDs to form a shape evoking the tranquil reflections of light upon a body of water. Flush door handles, which dramatically extend upon the client's approach to the vehicle, then sleekly retract when driving, contribute to a sense of minimalism.

Adding a flair of unexpectedly dramatic hospitality, QX80 features a welcome lighting sequence featuring the available Infiniti Light Path. When clients approach the vehicle, a stunning light show proceeds from the illuminated Infiniti emblem, through the DRLs and culminating in the Infiniti Light Path, which projects wing-like geometric shapes on the ground at either side of the vehicle.

Inside the cabin, QX80 displays an elevated attention to craftsmanship, with soft, high-quality materials throughout, including genuine open pore ash wood trims with laser-etched metal inlays and available semi-aniline leather-appointed seats featuring stunning stitching details that are partially finished by hand. Available 64-color Personalized Ambient Lighting, inspired by the four seasons, allows clients to further set the mood and appearance of QX80 to the exact tone they prefer.

Two high-resolution displays highlight the dashboard; one serving as a reconfigurable meter display and the other as the Infiniti InTouch touchscreen infotainment system. Demonstrating its commitment to offering seamless and intuitive technology, Infiniti for the first time comes with Google built-in, integrating Google Assistant, Google Maps and other familiar apps directly on the vehicle's display via Google Play.

As the flagship SUV in the Infiniti range, the 2025 QX80 delivers capable performance with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged engine, rated for 450 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The engine is combined with a new 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

The QX80 uses the latest technology to take the friction out of the everyday and deliver the ultimate in luxury: a need being met without any additional effort from vehicle occupants. One highlight is available Biometric Cooling, which detects when a second-row passenger may be feeling warm and automatically directs cooling air toward them. It can get passengers to a comfortable temperature in 50% less time than standard climate control alone – and it all happens automatically.

Invaluable for navigating tricky everyday driving situations are Front Wide View and Invisible Hood View , which employ advanced camera and image processing technology to help with seeing obstacles. Front Wide View projects a stunning wide-angle viewpoint from the vehicle's front camera across both 14.3-inch displays, ideal for improving the view past parked cars or around corners in tight garages. With Invisible Hood View, the driver sees a projected image of what's behind the vehicle's hood, allowing for spotting curbs in drive-through lanes, tracks when entering a car wash and other obstacles.

The QX80 is the first vehicle in the full-size luxury SUV segment with Klipsch audio, including an available Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system with 24 speakers, 1,200 watts of power, titanium tweeters and even four Highline speakers mounted in the roof. It delivers outstanding power, detail and emotion throughout the cabin, offering a true luxury experience for all occupants.

Available Electronic Air Suspension can lower the vehicle by nearly 3 inches when parked to facilitate easier loading of cargo or simpler ingress for passengers. In addition, available Dynamic Digital Suspension constantly evaluates the road surface and the vehicle's behavior to regulate body motions for a more controlled driving experience and a more comfortable ride experience for all on board.

Enhanced sound deadening and insulation, plus high-damping acoustic glass, also render the vehicle significantly more peaceful for occupants. Compared to its predecessor, the all-new 2025 QX80 is as much as 4 decibels quieter.

The all-new 2025 Infiniti QX80 will reach retailers later this summer. Prices will start at $84,445 including a $1,995 destination charge for the Pure RWD and range up to $112,590 for the Autograph 4WD.
