Kia adds styling updates for 2023 to award-winning Telluride

(January 6, 2023) Introduced as a 2020 model at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, it didn’t take long for the Kia Telluride to make a good first impression. Within a year of its launch, a panel of 50 judges for the North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year competition named the Telluride its Utility Vehicle of the Year; MotorTrend selected it as its SUV of the Year; and Car and Driver put it among its 10 Best Vehicles of the Year, a veritable Triple Crown of automotive awards.

Auto loan interest rates soaring according to Edmunds

Analysts say consumers who purchase a car today are at risk of going underwater on car loans down the road as financing costs rise and used car values decline.

Winter storms cause temporary spike in gas prices



(January 3, 2023) WASHINGTON, D.C. —The late December winter storms and frigid temperatures caused gas prices to spike, with refineries as far south as Texas and the Gulf Coast forced to shut down temporarily. The storm also caused holiday travelers to fuel up and hit the road early to beat the bad weather, leading to a spike in overall gas demand. The national average for a gallon of gas rose 12 cents since last week to hit $3.22.

Edmunds forecasts 14.8 million new vehicles to be old in 2023



(January 3, 2023) SANTA MONICA,  Calif. — The car shopping experts at Edmunds expect pent-up consumer demand and rising inventory levels to support new vehicle sales, forecasting that 14.8 million new cars will be sold in 2023. The forecast, drawn from Edmunds data, represents a 7% increase from their estimate of 13.8 million new vehicle sales in 2022.

(January 1, 2023) Last year, the Toyota Camry became available in the Nightshade Edition offered with the hybrid powertrain. Nightshade is a trim only package that includes a black front sport mesh grille borrowed from the Camry TRD trim level. There’s also Bi-LED headlamps with black surround along with the same feature on the LED taillamps along with black trimmed exterior pieces like badges, mirror caps and a slim rear deck spoiler to complete the black theme.
