(February 8, 2017) When it comes to pioneering vehicles that get exceptional fuel economy, Toyota is the world’s leader, with more than 25 years of alternative fuel vehicles under its belt. Product offerings include the gas-electric hybrid, plug-in hybrid and even a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle in a few select markets. Toyota dominates the hybrid market with 13 models accounting for a 70 percent market share. Unlike many auto manufacturers, Toyota does not offer a pure all-electric vehicle, instead favoring a plug-in hybrid.

(January 28, 2017) Gas prices in most parts of the country are low, hovering around $2 per gallon. Yet, fuel efficiency remains extremely important to most car buyers, according to the folks at AAA, who have researched their members.

And while it’s true that relatively cheap gasoline has buoyed the comeback of large utility vehicles, it has done nothing to discourage automakers from readying and introducing a plethora of new electric and hybrid vehicles that are hitting the road.

(January 16, 2017) Ford has made some key changes to the Fusion for its 2017 mid-cycle refresh, upping its game in the mid-sized hybrid sedan segment. While Ford decided not to make major changes to the overall looks of the Fusion, there is an all-new front end including new LED headlamps with LED accent strips. The grille is essentially the same shape, albeit smaller, with new options and fog lamps on the lower valance. The look is definitely sleeker and more aggressive.
