Hyundai's all-new Santa Fe boasts bold new design



(July 18, 2023) SEOUL — Hyundai has revealed its radically transformed all-new Santa Fe. The fifth-generation midsize SUV carries forward its signature nature-meets-city appeal while implementing major updates shaped by big data around the latest outdoor lifestyle trends.  For Santa Fe’s first full model change since 2018, Hyundai Motor took an unconventional approach with a lifestyle-based design typology to maximize rear cargo capacity and better accommodate outdoor and urban activities.

Ford had most vehicle recalls in first half of 2023



(July 17, 2023) WASHINGTON — Ford had the most recalls of any automaker in the first half of 2023, NHTSA data shows, continuing the 2022 recall trend when Ford had 68 recalls affecting more than 8.7 million vehicles. That is the most recalls of any automaker in the U.S., according to Automotive News.

(July 16, 2023) Following a nearly 30-year run Toyota retired its large-sized sedan the Avalon last year after the 2022 model run. Not surprising since Americans have had an insatiable love affair with trucks and SUVs with sedans of all sizes taking the brunt of their popularity. Yet there's still a few sedans — Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Corolla as example have rather held their ground amongst the stampede and don't look to be sent out to pasture anytime soon.

The new concept car is the sister-model to the Porsche Vision 357 with which the sports car manufacturer launched its own anniversary-year celebrations. In design terms the concept is a homage to the 356, however the all-electric Porsche Vision 357 Speedster is based on the 718 GT4 e-Performance technologically.

(July 14, 2023) DETROIT — GMC has announced the extended driving range for the 2024 GMC Hummer EV 3X Pickup: a whopping GM-estimated 381 miles of range on a full charge on the 3X trim with the available 24-module battery (a 26-mile increase over 2023 model year) and GM-estimated 359 miles of range on a full charge for models equipped with the available Extreme Off-Road Package (a 30-mile increase over the previous model year).
