(October 12, 2022) DETROIT — General Motors has announced the introduction of Ultium Home and Ultium Commercial, which in combination with the existing Ultium Charge 360, create a holistic ecosystem of energy management products and services that will be housed under a new business unit called GM Energy.

Honda makes major investment of over $4 billion in Ohio to create EVs



(October 12, 2022) Honda has announced two major investments in Ohio, including $700 million to re-tool several of its existing auto and powertrain plants for production of electric vehicles and $3.5 billion with LG Energy Solution (LGES) to establish a previously announced joint venture facility to produce the battery modules to power them, pending final government approvals. The JV battery plant will be located in Ohio's Fayette County, about 40 miles southwest of Columbus.

Rivian recalls about 13,000 trucks over steering defect



(October 10, 2022) Electric vehicle maker Rivian will recall about 13,000 vehicles it delivered to customers after discovering a minor structural defect. Irvine, California-based Rivian will recall the vehicles because a fastener “may not have been sufficiently torqued,” CEO RJ Scaringe said in a letter to customers that was seen by Bloomberg News.
